The Galloping Hill Cruisers Car Club is a non-profit organization which was established in 1988. We have 60 members whose purpose is to promote the safe enjoyment of antique, classic, custom, and special interest vehicles while generating and donating funds to worthwhile organizations and individuals in our area. We are a member of the Central New Jersey Car Club Association -- www.cnjcca.com -- check out the web site to see the dates of different cruise nights run by car clubs in our area.
In 2007, the proceeds from our Monday Cruise Nights were donated to the New Jersey Institute for Disabilities. This agency has 25 service locations throughout the state and they serve 1,000 infants, children and adults with disabilities from 12 counties in NJ. Because we were so impressed with the caring staff at NJID, we have decided to make them our recipient in 2008.
We had a record number of 89 cars registered for our first cruise night of 2008. Check out the page entitled "Monday Cruise Nites" to see some of the beautiful cars we have participating at the Galloping Hill Inn. The weather was great for our first cruise night of the season; we hope it stays like that each Monday through October!
Thanks to all our members who help every single Monday, especially Carole (the hot dog hat lady) who "runs" the donation bucket. Thanks to Ray and Lorraine for the GHC merchandise; to Charlene and Janet on the registration desk (along with Ron, Bobby, Carol & Frank); to John who takes care of the fan belt toss; to Steve who takes care of the parking lot; and to Glenn and Bob, who take care of everything!
Stick Shift Eddie and his wife, Janet, are back supplying us with great music for the night.
